Stewardship

The word stewardship often becomes synonymous with pledge campaigns. While pledge campaigns are part of stewardship, they are not the full picture.

The Episcopal Network on Stewardship reminds us that, "Stewardship is not just the pledge campaign – it is how we approach our relationship with each other and all of God’s gifts to us all year round. Whatever the resources we have been given is what we must work with to accomplish the mission of the church – these include our time, our talent, and our treasure, and they work together to grow the Reign of God." (tens.org)

Each year, as we seek to engage the spiritual practices of stewardship, or care taking, of all that God has given us, we focus in on specific ways that we can give from all of our resources to the glory of God and in love and service to our neighbors.

2021 Stewardship theme

We are so grateful to all of you who have been so faithful and generous in your giving over the course of the last ten months! We still have a few months left in the calendar year to reach our goals, but we couldn't have made it this far without you! Our campaign this year has focused on generosity that is fueled by the common faith that we share. As we move ever closer to the holidays and the end of the year, we invite you to continue to lean into your faith-filled generosity as you have so diligently done all year.

2022 Stewardship theme

As we continue to live out the faith-filled generosity we've been leaning into in 2021, we're simultaneously making plans for next year's budget. We've just introduced our 2022 campaign which is called Every Perfect Gift, and it’s based on James 1:17 which reads, “Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above…” This word perfect carries with it the sense of wholeness or completion. What are the perfect gifts, ones which have led to wholeness, healing, and community, that we have been given, and how are we being called to share those gifts moving forward? As we engage in the spiritual practices of prayer, gratitude, and generosity, we invite you to consider making a pledge for the 2022 calendar year. Your pledges help us to budget for all of the things that together with God’s help, we’re called to do in service of God, one another, and the community in the coming year. THANK YOU for all of the ways you have already done this!
